Eatopian Delights #2

Hey Rodinhooders,

This has been long overdue! Let me start at the beginning, Shipra (my partner in crime) and I have been lucky to be exposed to different cultures in India and the food that comes with it. Over numerous discussion about our love for food and experiencing some of the diversity of Indian food, we realized that there is a vast bounty of Indian food flavors, which doesn’t reach our tables. And Eatopia was conceived as a platform for people to see food in different ways and as a market place for the Country’s artisan food makers to reach our table. We launched Eatopia on Aug 15 last year ( Julia Child’s Birthday). For the first year we focused on creating interesting content.

Two months ago we launched our first box of Eatopian Delights. The thought behind the box is to provide a platform for people making extraordinary food products to reach customers far beyond their limited geography and to build interest in the richness and diversity of our food cultures. Every couple of months, we’ll bring you a unique themed box introducing you to exciting flavors and ideas, paired with recipes to bring those flavors to life in your kitchen.

The first Eatopian Delights box was a mango themed box which packed in flavors from Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan. We have only relied on word of mouth and our Facebook posts to promote the box and the response to the boxes has been exciting and encouraging. We shipped boxes to Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore and Goa!

And our second box of Eatopian Delights is out! This time we bring you flavors from God’s Own Country 🙂 fragrant spices, roasted coffee beans and a few other exciting and delicious discoveries.
