Finqa @Delhi OpenHouse

Thank you Asha and the TRHS team for giving us an opportunity to present at the Open House in Gurgaon on “My Greatest Entrepreneurial Challenge”
We are truly grateful for the wonderful suggestions that were shared & all those who are helping offline; the platform also helped us connect with many people and the most wonderful part is that we bagged a couple of clients from the audience :))))

TRHS helped us start and it surely is helping us grow…

We go through life as if we are immortal and will live forever. Somehow, it feels as if ‘accidents’ will happen to others while life will be hunky dory for us.Unfortunately, things sometimes do not always go according to plan and while one can prepare mentally, being financially prepared is another dimension all together.

I discovered this the hard way after a medical emergency. It was also the biggest reason that got me into this career while researching options and understanding how to manage my money.

I realized i didn’t know even the basics of money management; everything was being taken care of by my parents while I was just listening to them like a mute spectator. Most of my colleagues, friends, cousins were all in the same boat and that’s when I sensed a need to step in and bridge this gap.

Our everyday decisions are related to our money and yet understanding personal finances can be such a daunting task for most of us. I wanted to help people deal with their money, help people prepare themselves for emergencies, help people feel empowered with regard to their finances and see people realize their dreams.

Yes, I started as a novice in Personal Finance and that has helped a great deal in understanding the mindset of the market. It helps in speaking the language of the target group & getting things down to the basics. Today, I don’t shrug off my shoulders when someone talks about term plans; I know that buying a car is an expense and not an investment anymore; I don’t cough and walk out of the room when there is a discussion on mutual funds; i know the relation between inflation and interest rates; I know that my planner Ankur is making a lot of sense when he tells me that there are better options than putting a windfall in a FD and so on.

These are some of the things that Finqa basically helps people with – Getting financially literate / aware, organized and better prepared for life financially.

The question is not whether you need a financial plan, but, rather when will you get one.
