Does this sound reasonable?
Opportunity
I have surveyed about 8-10 institutes esp. business schools which do not have a food joint nearby wherein they can come, take a break from college, have great tasting and cost-effective food (Paranthas/Maggi/Masala Chai).
Presently, Most of these colleges surroundings are filled with small time pan valas, selling cigarettes, regular chai and even if there are Dhabas – its either really avg. in taste or completely unhygienic.
Thereafter, the next option for students is a nearby market filled with fast food joints but thats not the experience that i am intending to offer,
Besides, All Colleges do have a canteen/nescafe joint inside its premises but most of students do like to go out of the institute for a change.
Value Proposition/USPs
A dhaba experience but with Hygienic Food
Home Like Tasting Paranthas, Maggi etc.
Walking distance from their college
Cheaper than Fast food Joints like CCD, Nirulas
Branding
Intend to brand it like a “Youth Food Van” mostly found around colleges, the design and look of the van will appeal instantly over time and be able to relate to it.
Challenges
RoI/Van seem to be low since i cant charge more than 30-35 bucks for Paranthas/Maggi
Finding and handling Labour and their salaries
Handling Local Authorities
Enough Institutes having adequate environment for this.
