Life Advice

Hello Fellow Rodinhooders,

I come here to seek advice and ASK something that has been perturbing me for the past many months.I will put it in bullets so that its easy to understand my predicament.

1)           I am employed as an engineer in a good for nothing PSU having learnt nothing but how to sit and just stare at things being done the “usual” way.But fortunately for me Rodinhoods gave me the impetus to decide to take the plunge. thereafter, i have had a meetup at Kolkata with budding entrepreneurs all in ventures less than an year old. I also had a hangout session with Mr. Sameer Guglani of Morpheus and thus I understood that this is what I want to do and do not fear failure.I am employed in a remote place and its an overnight journey to Kolkata.

2)            Unfortunately, soon I realise that Kolkata is not the happening place at all even though a metro(also was advised by some business people there). There’s just not enough traction as compared to other metros and some tier 2 cities. So I get an interview arranged for myself in a big consultancy firm in Pune. However , I am facing it with zero years of experience just because I don’t want to waste my savings on the bond amount that I would have to pay if I leave my job now. If i pay the bond , I am left with negligible money to start with my ideas.

So here I am facing a ditch and behind me is a well. What would be the most intelligent decision here? Some have suggested to be in this less tasking remote place job and implement ideas from here bu they don’t understand that I just can;t always connect with people in Hyderabad ,Delhi and Bangalore just on the net. On the other hand, should I join the more tasking consultancy job, I may be busy but i have this problem sorted out.

P.S I have my interview two days later
