Look Who’s Running Now!

Come sit; let me tell you a story divine,
It doesn’t start with a, “Once Upon A Time…”

A story of what’s, and how’s and why’s,
Of pains to paint the blue, blue skies.

Life is such, it never stops,
Flows away, drop by drops.

Make plans, we always do,
Wishing red, life chooses blue.

Sometimes you wonder, what’s all the chase?
Why run at all, what’s in the race?

Why this, and not that, there,
Why slopes, and not an easy-chair?

Why slog, when you can jog,
Why not float like a river log.

But flowing without goals isn’t what you like
The safety and comfort may take a hike.

It’s your dreams, those god-forsaken dreams,
The plans you deem, the impossible schemes.

It’s hope, of what it could’ve been,
Leaving you hungry, always keen.

It’s you, a person not living in the present,
Looking for ways to make it more pleasant.

This is truly what life’s all about,
No doubt, throughout, step-out, stand-out.

Spell-out, set out, roll-out, sell-out,
Spread-out, fight-out, burn-out, time-out.

Is there any fun, without a churn?
To yearn, to earn, to learn, un-learn.

That’s what makes it all worthwhile,
A short while, a long Nile, a pile, a smile

So, don’t stop, Chop-chop
Non-stop, tick-tock.

Time’s pressed, no rest,
Keep running, stay blessed!
