Tips needed to make my first PAPER MODELING WORKSHOP with kids fun & interactive!

Holla Rodinhoods,

Hope you all are doing great!

This is my second ‘Discussion’ in TRH and I am glad and proud to say that the overwhelming response and suggestions I received from my First Discussion Post gave me this opportunity to interact with all of you again and brainstorm a few ideas with you!
YES, you guys convinced me to teach and share my knowledge and experiences via a one-of-its-kind Paper Modeling Workshop 🙂

Let me get straight to the point. I am taking my first major leap towards tagging myself as an “entrepreneur” by conducting my FIRST PAPER MODELING WORKSHOP for kids of age 8-12 years for 4 days in Gurgaon starting 10th May 2014. All the registrations are almost done and I’m already planning the next workshop (Yes, I received an absolutely amazing response within just 4 days – Gurgaon loves me :D)

I am going to teach these kids to make their own IRON MAN MASK out of PAPER and they could wear it as well – Who doesn’t love Iron Man!
I am going to handout step-by-step instructions to the kids that will help them making their own wearable mask – all using paper and glue!

The idea is to have 2 batches of 10 kids each (Total = 20 kids) which means I need to be well prepared and make sure the kids don’t get bored and they put in all their effort towards completing the Iron man Mask. In fact I can’t wait to see 21 kids (yes, including me) wearing their own Iron Man Mask and giving a pose that would last in my memory book till my last breath!

And as Tony Stark says: “Everybody needs a hobby”. I am giving a hobby to these kids and thats the goal I am working towards.

As usual, I have lots and lots of ideas (I wanna do this I wanna do that) and I would want to brainstorm with you creative folks, please feel free to give solid suggestions.

Ideas:
1. Show a motivational video to kids (I followed my heart, how my hobby evolved and what it took to reach till this stage, why I enjoy this etc.)
2. Tell jokes every 15 min.
3. Make a cool video of the entire workshop experience and will try to make it reach till Robert Downey Jr. (anyone has any suggestion of how to make this happen?)
4. Distribute participation certificates to kids
5. Have their group picture on my FB page
6. Invite folks from DIG to click pictures on the last day when kids would assemble all the parts and give the iron mask its final shape.
7. I want to get this covered by magazines, newspapers, new media etc. (anyone could help?)

Suggest me more stuff folks!
Thanks a million!
