CollegeDesk.in: Serving students, Connecting universities

The whole concept of CollegeDesk was started from a small idea itself. The idea was to create a one-stop shop for everything that a college student needs. We at CollegeDesk aim at solving all major problems that students are facing in their day-to-day college life. Currently operating in Delhi we are expanding to all the major education hubs of India. We aim at being the largest community for students in every manner.

We are currently the largest student media existing in the country with a student base of more than 10,000 students and growing with each passing day.

We offer various facilities to students like:

  1. Resources : This section contains notes , Previous year papers , E-books , Practice Material for students preparing for competitive exams. We are soon launching a feature for online Video lectures.
  2. College Info: This feature enables us to get even the basic details about the college and various ammenities that a College offers starting from librabry to wifi and gyms. We cover everything.
  3. Blogs : By this feature we offer students a platform to write and showcase their skills to the world. Be it anything we encourage writers to share their writing pieces and make small changes in the society which they intend to do.
  4. Event Coverage : We are always ready to cover the amazing College fests that are happening around the country. We have already covered some of the biggest fests of Delhi University with our amazing team which consists of reporters and photographers.
  5. Flats and PGs : We are soon launching this section too for solving one of the biggest problem of accomodation for outstation students.

There are many more things to come up soon in CollegeDesk. Keep watching this space for more.

  1. Hi Mohit,

I checked out your site and these are some of my observations:

    1. A lot of pages like “Flats/PGs”, “Latest Features”, “Team”, “Ebooks”, etc are blank currently. I believe since you guys are starting up, you would be adding content to them soon.
    2. The ad space on your site “Place your ad here” reminds me of the huge billboards that have a “Contact: 1234567”  message plastered across them. I understand ad revenue is vital to monetize your site, but this seems a bit bland. Perhaps you could use some quirky messages like “Get noticed HERE!”.
    3. In the Resources page when I try to scroll down the site flickers a lot. I tried with Chrome and Safari and observed it on both.
    4. The College Info page gives an error when I click on any option.
    5. The page PYQ refers to Previous Year Question papers I suppose. Not many would get it in the first instance 🙂 Please add some abbreviation. Also do provide an option to filter the documents say based on subject, semester, etc. Such lengthy titles are quite confusing. Both the options “View” and “Download” ended up downloading the pdf. So why two options?
    6. In the “Guides” section, the below document is just a pdf of open positions at CollegeDesk. Please check.
    7. The “Join Us” page could use some better alignment of the text fields.

  2. Thanks For the valuable suggestions MR. Sridhar Rajendran.

    Will look to these ASAP.

  3. Facebook started as a ‘college’ site 🙂

Having said so, isn’t it too late in the day to think of an aggregator for colleges today?

Also, content quality looks very poor!

What does this post have anything to do with ‘a college site’? https://www.collegedesk.in/blog-single.php?id=1197&categoryname=Blogs

  4. Thnx for the reply sir.

After receiving some inputs for the website we are working to improve the website and the content on the site.

And Sir CollegeDesk.in is not just a aggregator for colleges, its very much more than that. Many things are coming up which will make this idea more than just aggregator for colleges.

    Thanks for the input sir.

Looking forward for more guidance from you.
