Many a times it feels like taking a plunge to do new things – far from the ordinary. I wish the day I’ll live my dream is not far. I personally feel that everyone must explore avenues that excites life with a new perspective to rise above mediocrity.
I looked around and found even my closest pals busy amidst hush hush monotonous lifestyles. They too crave to explore the unknown but there are inhibitions and fear of the unknown. And the most common limitations are conviction, monetary commitments and worst among all is social stigma- Our social set-up.
There are many leadership speak which inspire but there are few lines which I like to quote about taking the plunge.
N R N once said “it was courage that helped him build a company like Infosys and he can always build another Infosys with courage.”
In another instance, a young woman entrepreneur has mentioned in her interview about start-ups. She said “Take the plunge , things will take shape”. These words spark thoughts that no idea is small but every small idea can be nurtured into full grown concept to be floated out in the open to a set of prospective customers .
If you are having a passion that has potential, go after it. Caution! Before you take the plunge, plan for your short term to immediate financial commitments by creating a contingent fund and chalk out a step by step road map. Get the plan reviewed thoroughly. When you are prepared with these preconditions you can weed out the inhibitions and move past the social stigma to take your plunge.
This is your world. Don’t allow someone else to built it, as they will always build it too small.
