Can Food startups survive!!

Hi Rodinhooders.

We have been working on an e-commerce service to revive the regional, traditional foods from different parts of the country (currently working in Karnataka).

www.hallioota.in

Hallioota was started when on one festival day we couldn’t find any sweets to eat at home. No Laddu, no holige/pooranpoli, nothing. We then remembered the good old days when our grandmothers made sweet dishes and all other kinds of foods during festivals (or even otherwise). We felt people living in cities are gradually moving away from all this, since they don’t have time or knowledge to prepare these dishes.

The present generation is slowly forgetting their age old tradition and losing the most important aspect of their tradition- FOOD.

Hallioota is an effort from us to revive this spirit of relishing the regional foods and carry on that tradition. We were also lucky to be featured in Radio City 91.1 Bangalore for our efforts.

Halli Oota brings you these traditional, regional foods of Karnataka at your door step. Experience the rich flavored dishes from rural Karnataka, made just the way your grandmom used to make, with an over doze of love.

So next time you remember your grandmother, you know where you can get the kind of food she used to make.

I would appreciate if you can give your valuable feedback on this service. We have seen a lot of online Food startups fail recently. Would like to know whether there is a market for these kind of services.

Special offers to Rodinhooders! 😉
