It is always good to see your thoughts getting converted into reality. Me too witnessing same thing in my life today, www.storybyreviews.com was a thought once upon a time in my mind now happy to see it as a reality.

 

You must be thinking what exactly is “StoryByReviews”?  Let me take you through to a small real life experience of my own. I am a Finance professional and so far sold my services to 4 companies in capacity of “Employee”. Each time when I was in the moment of decision to join this company or not, I felt a serious need of someone who could answer my few queries about the prospective employer. Like others, my queries were also like:

How is the general atmosphere at the work place?

How people grow in this company?

How is day to day life at work?

Is it common to work on weekends?

How is the overall work-life balance at this company?

Unfortunately, I never found such a person who could help me in getting answers to these queries. Of course I did lot of search on social media but all in vain.

In my search I did come across well know sites like Glassdoor etc. but somehow I was not able to draw any conclusion by looking at the rating points and diplomatic comments. Honestly, to some extent I got confused whether I should join or not? My Question still remained unanswered.

Then I thought let me find a solution for this problem and I started work to build Story By Reviews.  This portal lets people exchange reviews about their workplace to find a better workplace. 

The beauty of the portal is The Reviews (in Q&A form) reproduced exactly the way they were answered. This leaves no room for rating jargons. User may feel like his questions are getting precisely answered.

Referring to such reviews helps a lot to the people who are on a job hunt or who are scheduled for interviews. If they assess that people are happy at prospective employer’s workplace they will be motivated and will put extra efforts in their preparation. It can help people in their compensation negotiations as well. Users can send connect requests. These are few benefits from the consumer side.

Person who posts review on the site will get a customised report with his score of work-life balance. We also intend to share quality content on improving work life balance. In the future based on volumes we can run many analytics which can help users as well corporates since these reviews are real feedback from their ex or current human capital. We also take care of privacy of people who submit reviews to us and never show name as a matter of policy.

While building this portal I came across what I am doing is known as “Crowd-Sourcing” in internet business world. The power of crowd sourcing is enormous and the live example is the English dictionary which we use is based on crowd sourcing model only 🙂 🙂

It is my sincere request to all Rodinhooders please feedback me on this portal.
