Engaging Site Visitors through Behavioral Science (Something Different)

Hey Gang,

So I personally got tired and bored of doing training programs just for the sake of doing training programs. So my team and I at Memcorp rattled our little brains and thought of ways in which we could engage people. So we came up with a module which we called Experiential Immersion.

In an Experiential Immersion module, the participant becomes immersed into an experience (this could be anything at all: learning a new sport, playing a video game or an intense game of cards). And in this immersion we capture various behavior patterns that people are exhibiting. We then create an opportunity to start a discussion around the recently experienced experience to talk about the behaviors that came up. These discussions are backed by ‘data’ which is in some way, shape or form saying something about the way participant approaches problems or situations.

Over the last year, we’ve used Experiential Immersion for Organizations like Motorola, GIA and Sanofi to name a few and it has become quite a hit among the more mature organizations in learning arena as it’s uses extend from creating awareness (assessment) all the way to imparting a learning (training). So when it was time for us to redesign our website, it was only fair that we practice what we preach.

So we once again rattled our little brains to think about ways in which we could create an experiential immersion experience for people who come to visit our website. On that note, we created a short behavioral experiment for our site guests. The hypothesis of the experiment is placed at the bottom of the page for those who want to know what their actions meant.

And with that, I invite you to participate in this behavioral experiment and tell us if the hypothesis is correct or not: www.memcorpibg.com .

I gotta be honest, I’m trying something new here so if it doesn’t land on you the way it’s intended to, please share your feedback as I’m more interested in knowing how this can be improved. Thanks!

I am looking forward to hear what my Rodinhood family thinks of this.
