Free Tricks To Promote Venture Which Literally Doesn’t Cost a Single Penny

“Learning is successful when you can remember. And remembering is successful when you can relate.Else, learning is putting things in a fancy garbage box…called the mind”  – rodinhood.

Now let me come to the point why I quoted this – Because some months back or a year back, I noticed that Alok sir had put the network name (wifi name) as rodinhood.

This is what it looked like 🙂

And then some days back I was thinking how to motivate people to get into ShopKirana.com

My first motive is to get them to ShopKirana.com and Second motive is to sell products.

So In just two months, we have informed approx 7000 people of Indore (thanks to bsnl online area wise directory). That’s ok. Not a big deal. This is same old technique.

(Admit it; we always think to promote our venture. While driving, bathing, working.)

And then some days back, I changed the network name( My wifi name) to shopkirana.com | Grocery Portal and started sharing it with people around our building. As alok sir said ” Learning is successful when you can remember. And remembering is successful when you can relate. Else, learning …….” it true. Its all about reading and learning. It’s about connecting the dots.

Let me admit here, I really observe words, pics, facts and figures said by alok sir. I am sure all of us do this. But its all about connecting the things which we read and hear. I try to connect them 🙂

Why I didn’t put any password for my network. Because my motive is not only to educate them about portal but to bring them on my portal.  It doesn’t cost anything if we have unlimited bandwidth.

Recently I have shifted into a new flat so it was a need to inform everybody about shopkirana. (In my previous apartment, I went to every flat and told them personally). Here also I went to every flat and told them and then started giving free wifi with a name of ShopKirana because people just don’t remember what happened last sunday, who came (sales guy) to meet them. Its true that they give importance or some time when you are their neighbor but then again its our (entrepreneur) duty to ask them again and again but then again we cant force them and cant visit their place again and again.

So what’s better than giving free wifi with a name of portal?  ShopKirana will always pop up on their screen. 🙂

I have also started giving free lifts to people on the way to my office and home. In these two months, I helped many people to cover some distance and helped some people to even reach there home.  Apart from helping them, I was promoting shopkirana.com because by this, we get some time to talk to strangers and people don’t forget others easily who help them and I am always been a nice guy in that short 10-15 minutes of time.

Uncle -aunties remember nice guys. 🙂 And ShopKirana is the only topic I talk about in that short period and I don’t get distracted from their Thank you and welcomes. 😉

So here is another Free branding technique which doesn’t cost anything. ( Thank god I don’t have a car otherwise I would have stopped at bus stop every time I see people)

That’s all for now. Thanks for giving your time to read this and you know why I was crisp and short in this blog because I feel I almost spoke the entire journey when this portal www.madhyaindia.com covered us. It was our first coverage so I just spoke everything and I doubt if anybody read the full article. Darn, I need to control my outputs. 🙂

Benefits of this are – I have received three orders. Two from the apartment where I live(after providing free wifi) and one from the nearer building. The number of visits also increased on portal.

Numbers are not dazzling but those three orders came by doing this trick. :-)) And believe me, every single order counts here. !

What are more free branding tricks we can use to promote our venture?

Bring them all down here and let us all take benefit from them.
