Dear Prime Minister,

16th May , I woke up to a strange news that you have no money and own a 1996 Maruti Car. Sir, you are an economist! Your CV is considered to be one of the best in the world! Being an Economist of your stature, by now, you should be cruising in a Limo. So what is the reason that you still have a Maruti?  Is it because the country has not progressed economically and the annual income has not improved and thus you are stuck with a Maruti? Or is it that you don’t want to open avenues for change and build a desire to grow higher?

Sir, the face of the country is not its geographical area but the status of people in it just like the face of a company is not its building and infrastructure but the people and the work done in it. The lifestyle of the people shows the growth of a company. When I started my company (The Omelette Shop, Chennai) I had the money only to travel in buses and local trains but that did not stop me to work hard and make enough money to buy a car for myself, doesn’t matter if it is a Maruti 800(second hand) and I did it in 2.5 years. It is not about being greedy or materialistic. It is about what you want to achieve and how you achieve.

Now you may say that Warren Buffett is a millionaire but he still lives in his old modest house in Omaha bought in 1958 then what is the problem with my Maruti? Let me explain. Warner Buffet is a role model for the work he has done. People in business all over the world look at him for inspiration. He has influenced many on how to raise an empire. So his house does not matter because his business mantras are what people look at.

Whereas when it comes to you,Sir,  we are still waiting for something which will inspire us and give us the motivation to be at least half of what you are. When there is nothing much, it is obvious to look at your Maruti. We are taught about Simple Living, Great Thinking and our biggest example is former President Abdul Kalam,  whose inspiration to dream bigger has inspired many . But in your case, it is Simple Living, Not Great Thinking. Sir, even my watchman has a better version. He does Great Thinking, No Living but at least he thinks or dreams of greater things. Who knows one day he might grow big. All it needs it to aim for the stars so that even if you miss you land in space.

Another important thing is to learn from entrepreneurs…

Please learn from this man above who at a very young age worked hard, made his business plans and proved to the world that all it takes is determination and focus. Such was his dedication that even IIM will learn from him. Once you think big and work for it, you just don’t live for yourself but you live for the people around you. The CEO of a company lives for his company and his employee. He works for their growth which in turn makes everything else grow. Entrepreneurs of this country are the ones who work for the overall development of the country. So if you think of the entrepreneurs  and help them up with loans and many other things which we expect for the growth and development of business, the country will grow and in turn you will too.

So cheers to all the entrepreneurs who own a better car than our PM for we think a little better than him and if he does not do anything, no worries…HAME JUGAD KARNA AATA HAI.

Disclaimer : The opinion is strictly mine and I don’t intend to offend anyone. I just wish that the respected PM would think big and do something to help entrepreneurs who really want to build the country.
