Looking for a part-time Magento developer who can double as a Linux Admin!

Hola!

Nirogam is currently looking for a part-time, hourly based Magento developer who can also manage the Linux Server, hosting the Magento e-commerce store.

Magento Skills:

We are looking for an expert who has had considerable experience with Magento back-end and can handle all tasks within Magento.

We are looking to optimize and fasten up the page load times of our Magento site for better conversions. And also improve or develop the checkout and cart page to increase sales.

1. Hands on coding experience for Magento with PHP, MySQL and front-end technologies like JavaScript, jQuery
2. Must have experience developing Magento extensions
3. Must be comfortable working with production database of thousands of products and customers
4. Write queries to gather data, update data against the production database
5.Knowledgeable about product attributes, url rewrite management, index management, data profiles etc.                                                                                                                                              6. Comfortable cleaning up log data from within Magento or through SQL queries (truncate etc) 

This job will involve maintenance, tweaking code and writing code for Production Magento 1.7.0.2 Community Edition.

This is not for someone looking to learn from scratch on the job. You should already know how to handle Magento code and  write it! This is perfect for someone who has a marketing gene in them or an entrepreneurial mind-set.

Linux Skills:

You mainly need skills to manage the Linux server hosting the Magento store. I have listed the software installed in our environment.

1. Have experience running and maintaining CentOS 64 bit(6.4 final release)
2. MySQL Percona Server (14.14 Distrib 5.5.35 for Linux (x86_64)
3. PHP 5.3.3
4. Ngnix 1.8.0. Configuration and management.
5. Working with htaccess files, URL redirects etc
7. Managing FTP accounts with SSH
8. Backing up databases, web server settings, OS etc                                                                   9. AWS experience is a definite plus! We may eventually move the Magento store to AWS.
