Renewable Energy Entrepreneurs in India, specific focus on Bihar

Although a member since Nov 2012 , i have never deliberated. I am a silent observer and have been enjoying , stayin an onlooker.

Mostly entrepreneurs are lonely and isolated  and battling to manage this or that. The passion value index  is so important that it rules over the Entrepreneur. I am passionate about renewable energy but unable to take off in BIHAR . Although darkness and DG sets all over why no one is volunteering in a big way , inspite of short term and long term benefits.

In the context of the reeling power crisis across the country , we see a lot of eupheria about Renewable Energy replacing the fossil fuel . In the last few years lot of encouraging development s in Solar PV and Solar Thermal technologies . Above all the reeling prices of Panels , still no big boost in demand.

MNRE subsidy is no attraction , due to its lethargic releasing process. Govt. based business is going ahead in its do good and feel great modes. I want to understand why there are no go all out approaches.

Entrepreneurs make a valuable difference in popularizing. So many awareness  and sensitization camps done. The effect is short lived and is unable to have any prudent result. Products and market segments are many .

Technology has matured . Adoption is low  . Will addressing specific target groups be an answer ? Any sharp concepts . Can Govt indulgence and funding help ?

  1. Hi Sanjaya,

There is scheme for farmers in Rajasthan, who get a good amount of funding for Solar Power development. The problem is they don’t hv technology. So the new trend there is Companies which hv technology they go to farmers, get the land and funding and develop it and share revenue, however companies n farmers are not able to strike a win win deal. My knowledge in this area is limited.

You do some research on the Solar power scheme and development in Rajasthan. This might help you to some extent.

    Regards
