Thank you, Rodinhoods – from Groopic.

Its been long since I wrote my first post, introducing our product Groopic, on the Rodinhoods. I write today to thank the awesome Rodinhoods community, specifically for the very first feedback that they provided us for our product, which proved crucial later on and generally for all the motivation, advice and tips on the blog that helped us all the way!

So for those who did not click on the link :P, the product was Groopic – a smartphone app that lets you take group pictures that include the photographer! Here’s a small video demo.

We released the app on Apple Appstore in beta in a limited number of markets last December. The Rodinhoods was the first platform where we announced the product to get the critical feedback. The feedback and suggestions helped us release 3 totally revamped versions of the app, and finally it was launched globally on July 10th, 2013. It went great!
We were featured by

TechCrunch, CNetGizmodo, Cult of Mac and eventually on CNN for our product. We were also flown to silicon valley by Google for Entrepreneurs for BlackBox Connect Summer 2013 – a two week silicon valley immersion program for non-US startups. It was a chance to meet the likes of Chad Hurly (Youtube founder), Adam Cheyer ( created Siri) and so many more!

With all this excitement and traction with Groopic, this last year has been amazing. I sincerely believe that Rodinhoods deserve a humble bow from us, for being the first important step towards achieving all this. As a thank you gesture, we would love to present to the Rodinhoods, before announcing it to anyone else, the much awaited, ANDROID VERSION OF THE APP. As always, we look forward to the critical feedback and suggestions! 🙂
