Finally decided on having the event on Sunday – the 18th of December.
It’s at Vong Wong restaurant at Nariman Point.
Trust me, the choice of venue is good – the place is amazing, the weather in Mumbai will be awesome and the food and drinks will make you all very happy.

Hi All!
I’m thinking of having a Mumbai Rodinhoods.com get together on the 16th of December – Friday.
Now, I want ideas and HELP:
– Venue?
I’m thinking of a banquet hall that we will easily cross 50 people. It could go higher.
So, lets have a place where we can comfortably assemble, mingle around (rather than sit on tables) and also get basic drinks and starters and food?
Imagine like Beers/Basic Drinks/ Soft Drinks/Starters and Biryani/Dal/Rotis?
Could be more elaborate if people want?!
The idea is to really get high on the energy of the meeting and not make it really an easy affair
– Logistics
To book a banquet hall, I will need a deposit/minimum guarantee
So I’m thinking of getting people to send me their cheques/advances and once I reach the minimum amount then we are set?
If there is a nice demand than make it a slightly bigger place?
Makes sense? Would people send in their moneys ?
– Location
I say South Mumbai coz I live there 🙂
But I am open to ideas..
It should be in a friendly enough place so that even if people wanna stay near by (if they come from Delhi /Bangalore etc) then its easy?
– Owner
WOULD really appreciate a Volunteer/Owner who is good at these things and hence can drive the event PLEASE…
I think the event should be open to ALL – so that people mingle and discover the passion of what the rodinhoods stand for!!!
– Next Steps
I would love to get comments/ideas and then freeze on a place and cost and simply ask people then to get their calendars in order.

I will definitely prefer a South Mumbai location, but to get larger attendance a place in Bandra would be much more ideal as it will be comparably easy access from western and central side. Airport is closer. In India week end doesn’t always start Friday evening so traffic woes needs to be thought of.

Could consider Andheri. People coming for other states can find a lot of options near airport.
There are nice options near Seepz – this place would be crowded in the evening and hence suggest a lunch/brunch meet on a weekend.

I feel a great place would be Vong Wong at Express Towers( South Mumbai). They have a super Sunday Brunch, which costs 1500 per head inclusive for food and booze. People from out of town could spend a Sat in Mumbai, have brunch and then leave in the evening. You will have to change the date though.

Although, I really like what Nishant says – Vong Wong at 1500 – GREAT FOOD = BOOZE and a Sunday is a good bet!!!
