Want to Start a New Venture on Handicrafts

Friends,

I wish to start an eCommerce website that would specifically deal with handicrafts but I am desperate to know the response i’ll be getting as there are already more that dozen sites selling one or the other type of hand crafted products. But the problem with these sites is that they all have diversified into other categories so handicrafts is just one of their categories. I want to make site specifically for handicrafts.

Indian handicrafts are famous world-over and I belong to the city which is specialized in this. I was always passionate for this kind of venture.

Looking forward for your valuable feedback as it will help me decide the future course of action.

Go ahead Kunal and make a difference.. see its better to do it rather than saying about it and waiting for response… if its good you get business if its not working you get experience and by the way both are valuable

We need people like you in ECommerce who have the drive to make a difference And yes competitions will always be there but how you fight it out and leave your mark will be the highlight of your journey in this path.Yes Handicraft stores are a many but each handicraft is different from the rest.Provide a nicheness to your product and store and use the internet to spread the word and you can do great. I had the exactly same idea in my mind but I am honestly looking for reliable partner to have things started as I am doing a job which my family won’t let me leave unless I have some other source of income ready which makes sense anyway. I am not saying you should consider me for partnership though you can think of me but I am just saying that this will need lot of time and I might not be able to give fulltime attention to something part time though I am open for weekends.
