Website Visitors vs Actual Buyers

anybody knows what is the % between actual buyers vs just visitors on a online shopping website. I assume it is 1:1000.  There is one buyer per 1000 unique visitors on the site. 0.1% of the traffic is converted into actual sales. would like all to share their experience as i am not sure if this is correct.

  1. @Yatin, 1 to 2% is okay, but 5%, 10-15% is really out of bounds. Atleast I have not seen such conversion rates on any shopping site. Agreed there is different conversion rates category wise but the overall avg is what I am looking for. maybe fellow Rodinhooders can share their views.
