Well these days Security is a big issue. Most of the company have some sort of Visitor Tracking in place. But most of the time things don’t go beyond a manual entry with a pen and paper.
My Queries :-
Is it OK/Legal to ask for and capture further details from Visitors to prove authenticity , like
Pan Card No or Driving Licence No. or any other handy Document usually carried by people.
I believe verified Mobile Phone number could also be a good visitor tracking information.
Is it a good practice to verify the Phone number given by visitors ? If yes how the approach should be ?
An SMS in real time, or a manual phone call verification by the guard/front desk person capturing the details for the first time ?
What is the probability of having such application deployed in Cloud and accessed by users ?
By Having a robust and universally accessible application via internet.
