Who runs the world?

What if innovation was not in the field of just technology but in arts, literature, music, education and other aspects of human life? What if the world was not being run by a few people who want to earn more and more? What if machines were just used as a tool to help people do their work in a better way instead of fulfilling the greed of a few industrialists?

Are we living our own lives or just being a puppet in the hands of people who run this world?

Are we learning things we want to or just what industries want us to? Are we learning what we would do if there was no such word as ‘career’ or are we attending courses which have been invented by industries in order to fulfil the need of labour with a particular skill set?

We have become options for few people. They decide everything for us. They tell us what to eat and how much fatty acid to store in our body just because it helps them earn more money. It is them who decide how much harmful radiations they force in our body because of the high radiating mobile network towers set up near our living space. They will invent a new disease and a new medicine to cure. We are just consumers for them. Robots which are tuned to consume and produce whatever they want to.

Humans have been replaced by machines. Weren’t machines built to help humans? How did they become a replacement and why? Are they helping us or just satisfying their greed for more? What about the population that is left unemployed because machines have replaced them? They are replaced because the people at the top never wanted to share the money with those are at the bottom of the pyramid. They are of no use to them. They will fund colleges, support companies to make machines which can replace humans.

Forget about humans, machines have even replaced your relationships. They are trying to save your time and effort to interact with other humans. A letter has been replaced with an email which can be sent to all your friends with a single forward button. Everything is being automated and very soon we will become robots who are being programmed to produce and consume according to the demand of industries. And we will surely let it happen to us. We are already sitting on that track like robots that are being manufactured according to set algorithm.

What if the world was innovating in different fields? What if we were taught theatre, paintings, music, and literature with the same zeal like other subjects which were of importance to industries? The world would have been a different place. Machines would be made to help human not replace them. The profit would have been shared with the people who are in the bottom of the pyramid. The growth would have been inclusive. Education and health would not have been a luxury of the rich. The world would certainly be a beautiful place to live.
