Ask For Help

Is it Ok to Share your StartUp idea before launch?

Hello to all,

I am following “TheRodinhoods” from some time and I am learning and aspire to become an entrepreneur.

As I was just thinking to start something, I come across this thing “Whether to share the idea with people or not?”. Please share your valuable thought and experience and help me clarify my doubt.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Unless you have a solution to solve the energy crisis of the planet with a 100$ device, my answer would be 100% yes.

Most ideas are not earth shattering. In most cases what decides the success of a venture is the execution of the idea.

Neither Amazon, Google, or hundreds of other startups who are successful were not earth shattering. Execution is everything. No one can run away with your idea, most entrepreneurs are busy chasing their own dreams.

  2. Hi Vishwajeet,

Its a common phase you are passing through and almost all Entrepreneurs pass through it when they start!

In the beginning even I used to feel what if somebody steal my golden idea… As yrs passed, I understood, an Idea can grow only by sharing, no other alternative. I told myself just two things got rid of this inhibition and fear,

    1) No one else can execute my idea better than me!

    2) Ideas mere ghar ki kheti hai, ek chori ho gya toh dusra aa jayega!

Trust me Vishwajeet, let few years pass as an Entrepreneur and you will be sitting on pile of ideas wondering which one to execute 1st.

  3. I would say that if you believe your idea is so unique that you fear it getting copied but then make sure to launch start your idea in a big way in order to get some initial benefit if you would try to start your extremely and unique venture without proper marketing and other efforts from day one then it will get copied even after you begin
only a great idea is not enough in this cruel world

  4. Thank you all for your valuable inputs. Would certainly try to keep in mind.
