Leadership Aikido – Part 1

Knowing is not enough, we must apply; Willing is not enough, we must do. ~ Bruce Lee

Today is a day where we can practice leadership right this moment of time and I called this approach of leadership “Way of presence”. To practice leadership in presence is as simple as breathing In and Out. If you ad dead creature, you will not able to connect with your own presence and reality.

Leaders are born or made? If you are in your past, you believe leaders are born and if you are in future, leaders are made. If you be with your presence, you are a leader. You don’t have to go out and copy any personality and behave…you have to be neutral and leadership flow.

You may think what is Aikido and what it has to be with leadership? Aikido is art of leadership. It is most revolutionary martial art in existence. You know ‘Steven Seagal’ one of the famous Hollywood actor who showcased his Aikido skills.

Are we leaders or fighters?
Aikido is an art but closer look give you understanding that it is a philosophy and a way of life which integrate our physical, emotional, social and spiritual life.

So what’s so excitement about this style? How this style teaches a leadership which we don’ know? Before you look for an answer, you have to reshape the way you look at the conflict. It required paradigm shift for you. One thing it explore us, how we move this this world and interact with others. Our interaction with others will show what we think about our self and behave in reality. We all have natural ability to move upward in life using our energy. You don’t aimlessly move in direction. A leader who centered have ability to set aside emotional responses and can deal with conflicts in uncomfortable situations. Being centered is not simple, it required regular practice and Aikido providers way to do that.

Wish you great day ahead !
