Need Help to Connect with Custom/ Mass market shoe manufacturers in Mumbai Navi Mumbai or Thane area

Please help a fellow Rodinhooder!

I am looking to connect with shoe manufacturers regarding my upcoming startup in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane area.
I’m still in the very early “Requirements Gathering” phase of my startup where I need to understand the shoe-making process first hand and in detail to be able to determine the direction that my startup would take. Wish to visit the manufacturing facilities too if possible.

I should like to tie-up with the manufacturer for future business too.

If it would be so kindly possible to arrange the same.

we have three rodinhooders in the shoe biz but i don’t think they deal with manufacturers based in mumbai 🙁

Hey Alok,

I’ve come across this seemingly tremendous fitting issue in online footwear shopping . I’ve studied the problem for A YEAR now and made a crude SOFTWARE prototype around the possible solution as a part of my final year project too. Now I need to scale it and refine it for mass usage. Before I delve any further into this, I need to talk to a few renowned custom and/or bespoke shoe-manufacturers who can corroborate my findings, tell me how rampant it really is and more importantly provide me with some data that would help me greatly to solve this problem FOR MANUFACTURERS and RETAILERS(due to the shoe returns and exchanges) and FOR CUSTOMERS(better online buying experience). I would be elated to share my findings with you for your advice on it too. Shall I mail you the details on your email ? Kindly let me know whom do you think should be best able to help me in this situation ? Meanwhile, I will go through your LinkedIn like you mentioned.

P.S. : I did meet a local shoe supplier out of Dharavi, and he was passionately sceptical that a software could help solve the fitting problem and warned us against it for all the wrong reasons.
