Technology Transfer – Looking for a buyer/licensee.

Hi, 

I run a company called APD Innovation Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and over the past 2 years we have ‘invented’ a self-cleaning toilet. Yeah, that true, we are engineers, and what we have essentially done, is created a general-purpose toilet cleaning machine, just alike, a washing machine/dish washer/floor mopping machine, etc. 

We have been incubated @IIT_D, received grants from govt. and won quite a few BPlan competitions, apart from good media presence. 

We hold the National and International patents(Pending) for the product (in my name), and NOW, we are looking to transfer the technology to a large Sanitation/cleaning equipment/consumer durable/healthcare/Infrastructure player/et-al company to take it on from there. The proto is ready and so are we. 

Honestly, the idea is to give it someone, who would make honest attempts (and get successful as well), to take the innovation to the marketplace, and change the sanitation landscape, forever, as the technology is capable of. 

Now we are looking for TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER COMPANIES and the Question is:

1) How do we do it??. The NRDC works in a not-so-great manner, the attorneys are busy minting (read milking) clients, and the I-banker asks retainer fee so much, as to make us debt-ridden (read bed or death-ridden).

2) What are the available options, in getting the technology across. Is there a consortium, informal group, syndicate, network alliance, etc.??

3) Where do we find the companies engaging in technology transfer, with good credibility, past record, and have shown good-enough results for us to move ahead ??. – When googled, it shown only PPT companies, just doing liaisoning kind of work, with grey clothes, rather than grey matter.

4) Whom do we approach, other than the likes of FITT/NRDC etc. ??. what would be the means of getting them, and is there an organised approach to getting them on work. 

5) Where are these companies??? is there a segment/industry/vertical which is specifically working toward technology migration/enhancement/promotion/transfer. Where do we engage them from. 

Apart, we would appreciate credible agencies, formal/informal, who have a history or a very strong reference in doing good quality work done, from any end.

There would be quite a many points missing/repeated in this note, but please feel free to point out the same, ask as many relevant questions as possible, obviously making sense in throwing light on the subject matter. 🙂
