The Bloody Good Luck moment … How I took the Plunge !!!

To be really Honest … & I am telling this by holding my hand on my heart  … well at least on two times, before I began typing this and second time when i finished coz its bloody difficult to type with just one hand … It was quite some time back when my younger brother introduced me to the ‘Rodinhood’ blog of Alok … I got captivated and read it for like almost 2-3 hours … then I realised that there is quite a gap from the last post of his and I kinda got thinking “how someone who has been sharing so much and so candidly, hasn’t had anything in so many weeks which he could share,” so I wrote back to him saying how much I enjoyed reading his blog and asking him, why there are no recent posts there …. I was not really expecting a quick answer, may be till that time I hadnt really understood / known him as the person that he is … but got the answer … thanking me for my comments and introducing me to therodinhoods.wpengine.com.

That was the #GoodLuck moment for me …

Why you ask …. well that was the time I was nostrils deep in the corporate world, and was just having a casual fling with the idea of being an entrepreneur … then I got into more reading over the span of next 6 months … then interacted with few fellows here … got more inclined towards the serious relationship of being the Entrepreneur … attended the open house in Mumbai … and then before i knew it i was madly in love and wanted to be The Entrepreneur.

And Now … its been almost 14 months .. & I have been able to ride the initial waves of struggle or thats what it feels like … but still not out of the doldrums … moving into second phase of the Venture … looking to hire a few people … Yes, till now we have been just on our own … a two man tag team. We have moved into black, notionally. And have managed to impress a few clients, coz they have been giving us repeat business.

Now I am a free bird … and all thanks to my younger brother and that magical moment of Good Luck, & hopefully onto the ride of my life.

I attended the March2013 Open house … which was focused on the theme of Celebrating Failure .. (https://www.therodinhoods.com/forum/topics/what-made-therodinhoods-mumbai-open-house-in-march-so-special) … & it was really good for me .. to hear out people talk about their failure so candidly and share the learnings.
