The Pasta Kitchen is looking for a partner/owner

Hi Everyone!

Now that you’re feeling a hunger pang, let me start!

I am here again after a very long break! This was mostly due to the restaurant (The Pasta Kitchen) keeping me really really busy!

For those wondering which restaurant, this post might give you a heads up.

Unfortunately, my partner is no longer capable of giving it as much time as it deserves, and hence with a very heavy heart we are looking for someone to take over, or join me as a partner.

To give you a bit of my background, this is my 3rd gig, with the first one closing down and second having been acqui-hired by PayU (story here) and finally the third: The Pasta Kitchen.

The idea behind the restaurant is to be the “Go to place” for some awesome pasta! Pasta is definitely the next big thing to happen to India after Pizza, and we want to be the number one at it! As of today we are the only Pasta delivery option available in all of Gurgaon; and we are the most affordable option as well – A single serving (more than sufficient for dinner of an adult is priced at a mere Rs 150).

Here are some stats:

Currently running at ~2lacs per month revenue with small operating cost as the kitchen space is cheap. It’s delivery only as of now. It’s in sector 40 gurgaon, near unitech cyber park.

Composition : Salary
2 CDP(Chef de partie) = 40000
2 second Commie = 18000
1 Delivery Boy = 13000
Kitchen Rent = 7000 (inc of electricity)
Delivery Services(Roadrunnr and ShadowFax) = 10000

Other Areas :
Online channels = FoodPanda, Zomato, Swiggy, Tinyowl, JustEat, Chop Chop, Little etc.
Social Media Presence (Facebook, Twitter, Foodie Groups, Blogs)
40000 contacts from all over gurgaon to market.
In-house order management and marketing platform.
All vendor network established to deliver groceries at kitchen except vegetables.

We’ve put raised it like our child and would like to give it to someone who can take good care of it!

Funny how we label a restaurant with a computer as “foodtech”. The business is a restaurant with possibly good food, running out of a cheap place and some off the shelf software. The main savings/value of this venture is the cheap real estate nothing much. Let me know what you think.
