Fun

Failure is not falling but not standing up again!

So you have been working on your important goal or dream for some time. However, somehow success is not in sight yet. You didn’t anticipate the kind of challenges that would come along. It appears to be taking a long time. Beginning to lose faith and hope, you feel as if you are losing steam. And now, you are tempted to give up.

The above scenario is a very common one. Many of the entrepreneurs usually start something with a lot of enthusiasm and energy with the belief that they can conquer the world. However, as the everyday grind of working on their dream sets in, they find the soda starting to lose its fizz. The series of failures and rejections crush their hopes so badly that they start believing that their goals are unrealistic and impossible to achieve.

At such critical junctures, it’s so tempting to give up on your goals and settle for something else but then being defeated is often a temporary condition, giving up is what makes it permanent. If you look at history – you would realize that none of the great entrepreneurs had an easy time in achieving their goals. They all faced rejections, failures and setbacks but still they were able to achieve their dreams in the end. Why? Because they refused to get discouraged by failures and persisted with their goal till they achieved success.“Persistent people begin their success where others end in failure.” Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who did not quit, look no further. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost 8 elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times – but he didn’t and because he didn’t quit, he became one of the greatest Presidents in the history of US.

“Failure is not about falling down but not standing up again and again, even when things do not go your way. “
