Floost – A network for the like minded

Firstly, it was awesome meeting the Rodinhoods gang at the Film Center on Friday. Learnt a lot from the fellow entrepreneurs and Alok too. Alok must be said is inspiring as well as someone whose mere presence makes you work harder!

Next, about the conversation about floost we had. Floost ( https://floost.com ) is a network for the like minded , and we built floost as a Social network for interest based sharing . The target audience is global, and must say, we got a fabulous response at the Rodinhoods meet yesterday! We have built the product technically from the ground up, and hope that the product makes India proud as a social network on the Internet based out of India.

Three reasons you should use floost –

1. Easiest way to share photos and links on the Internet ( Try the Floost bookmarklet here )

2. Your interests and your interaction fashions what floost gives you to read

3. Showcase your hitherto unknown interests to the world

So log on to floost.com and create your floost today!!

  1. Sid,

I can’t post multiple images! That’s really frustrating!

Also, why should I be here and not on pitnterest?

  2. Indeed a good app.

  3. @Alok – I agree its a slight pain point – you can’t post multiple pics in one go – that is because of the older browser issue . But, adding pics is as simple as clicking on the + button and choosing photos from the folder.

Second question – try adding your interests and see the quality of suggestions you get! The more you use floost, the more customised ( and useful ) it would get! As discussed the other day, the idea is to create a great hangout for people with similar interests!

  4. Thanks Alok for trying floost.

There was an interesting incident when Amit Mishra, quoted floost on Quota under the thread of pinterest look alikes. We got a response from a guy to that post saying ” floost is a useful version of pinrerest and less of a toy”. Floost actually delivers great stuff to read ,

  5. Thanks Ashok – Do give us feedback on this, much appreciated!
