Trying to answer you briefly. Broadly web based/enabled marketing comprises of the following:
1. Own presence – Website / Blog / Network or User Community
2. Social Media Marketing – Using SNS platforms like FB, Twitter, Linkedin etc.
3. Display Marketing – Utilising a combination of ad forms like CPM (Cost per Mili) / CPC (Cost per Click) / CPA (Cost per Acquisition)
4. EMM – Email Marketing using mailers
5. Ecommerce – Setting up your site to sell to consumers
Now how they can be used in a combination would depend on the context and the category you need to promote.
