Leadership skills-The Avengers Style!

I am a great fan of Hollywood movies.Drama movies, I feel, is where Hollywood is way ahead of us. But one movie simply fascinated me. That was Avengers!

The basic idea of bringing in Super-Heroes, those with super abilities, to save the world, is always exciting and when I watched the movie, I was a child again.

Smiling everytime the Hulk crushed Loki’s men or fascinated when Iron Mam restarted that magnanimous engine motor with ease. Everything about that movie was sans darkness and visual delight.

But One thing that was remarkable for me, was how the movie beautifully displayed Leadership skills.

One of the superheroes in the movie was Captain America played by the flamboyount Chris Evans.

He is shown as a World War II soldier who has reached the zenith of human physical prowess due to an experimental serum and landed up in the modern world with none of his war mates around. It is certainly a difficult pill for him to swallow and he is always in the shadows, quiet and lonely.

To describe this guy more, he was certainly not the strongest like the Hulk. He was also not as flashy as Iron Man, or as “god”ly as Thor. Despite him being lesser than others in physicality they surrounded him at the end and obediently followed his orders. He was an unsaid hero after the movie. Now we can examine the leadership qualitites Captain America displayed.

Captain America displayed a love for his country. He wore stars and strips without a second thought. He was not interested about the win America had in WW2. He was worried about what they had lost.
1) An entrepreneur has to love his startup. He has to be patriotic about his company and not just run it. 🙂

Captain America was not the smartest or the Strongest. But the smartest and the strongest rallied around them. Because he represented Integrity, Courage and Humility
2) As an entrepreneur and the one who is running the business, you need not be the smartest guy. But Honesty, Integrity, Courage and Humility are the qualities that would make you the employee’s darling and a great leader.

Finally, Trust in God. He was shown as a guy who truly believed in God. Infact when Natasha tells him not to follow Thor and Iron Man as they are almost GODS, he politely tells her,
“M’am I know there is only one GOD, and he certainly doesnt dress up like this”
An amazing one I know!
3) As an entrepreneur you must have trust and faith. Trust in your idea, your business and your efforts, while faith in God. He would never let you fail!!

P.S- I am not a leader. I am not an entrepreneur yet. These were just my views. Let me know if you are in resonance with these thoughts!
