I meet lots of people who are in the services business relentlessly doing their daily grind only to encounter more trouble and grief….

Funnily, I meet very few people in the products space – and those I meet are quite happy…

This is a small summation of my view on Services Vs. Products – for ‘Smarties’

I run an advertising agency – nailbites! being in the service sector, i could totally connect to this ppt …good insights…but you see generalized points are for general people….you can always find others changing your notions.. 🙂 Best wishes…& congrats for having such a great site running!

While I agree to every thing mentioned about Product Vs. Services. business mentioned by you. Yet I have made a choice of being in to the services space. We have Helped other companies build their products. Even dangled with couple of our own product ideas but I guess I am not cut out for it so far.
So I wish to create multiple businesses focused on Niche Services that can generate regular cashflow. I have 2 companies as of now – Tekno Point [ focused on Adobe Product training and consulting ] and CloudThat [ focused on CloudComputing Training and AWS consulting ] .

My plan is to build more companies and optimize my service delivery and other functions that will benefit all the businesses I am invested in.

Would love to hear from any Rodinhood who has a Services Business Plan and needs some angel funding and a co-founder. Also would like to add I am investing for cashflow and do not intend to be into the valuation game.
