Setting-up IT/ITES office in residential complex

Hello,

I have seen a lot of entrepreneurs facing issues of societies not allowing setting of offices in residential apartments.

But this is legal. Sharing Draft of Maharashtra’s Information Technology / Information Technology Enabled Services Policy

Please refer 5-> B) -> ii) -> viii)
Setting-up IT/ITES units in any zone : IT / ITES units (except IT hardware

and Telecom Hardware Manufacturing Units) will be allowed to be set up in

any zone (including residential and no-development Zones, etc.).

You can. we have our manufacturing unit in a gated community.. you have to arrange a society meeting and tell them about your plan and how you are going to get things done with out disturbing families in society.
