StartupYatra to connect entrepreneurs to successful Gurus-1 Week, 3 Cities, 7 Gurus and ∞ possibilities

To begin with, I love reading articles on therodinhoods.wpengine.com which inspires 1000’s of entrepreneurs across India. Every day there is something new to learn from fellow awesome rodinhooders and also from ALOK (guru for a lot of entrepreneurs) with his special insights and great stories. Being a non MBA guy, Alok was one of my greatest inspirations to be an entrepreneur.

So friends I am a default engineer by degree, turned into salesman, learner, creator and entrepreneur by choice. I have worked with 4 startups, founded 2 startups and failed in 1 startup. I am the Co-Founder at Nurture talent Academy – India’s 1st institute for entrepreneurs. My love for technology, products and innovative ideas is growing each day.

My story began with a movie called 3 idiots, when I fell in love with Rancho. He taught me 3 I’s in life – IDEAS, INNOVATION and INSPIRATION. It took me to a conclusion that when your IDEAS are INNOVATIVE and INSPIRE 1000’s of people around you, that’s when an entrepreneur in you is born. Though this gave a start to my journey, the bigger part of it, I learnt it by doing the things myself. SALES is what I did ,excelled in it and founded my passion. It made me a SALESMAN by heart and my definition of being an entrepreneur got widened. An entrepreneur to me is a perfect blend of CREATOR & SALESMAN.

Before i started my journey to become a full time entrepreneur, I did internships in startups, worked as a startup employee and followed my passion to be a salesman. Meanwhile I also managed to complete my engineering degree (which was kind of secondary and part time  to me 🙂 ).This was the time when I met and interacted with dozens of entrepreneurs and was smitten by their awesome offices, teams, processes and work culture .These frequent meetings with entrepreneurs not only inspired me to start my own venture but also helped me to gain valuable insights and skills of running a venture, building  a team, creating value for customers, and many other things (which I might not have learned by spending money on MBA).

With the same thought that inspired me few years back, I am glad to share that Nurture Talent Academy, India’s 1st institute for entrepreneurs, announces the launch of Startup Yatra, an initiative to connect entrepreneurs to successful entrepreneurs and CEO’s aka GURU. As a part of the Yatra, startups (aka Yatris) will visit the offices of Gurus, meet their teams, observe operations and gain valuable insights around topics of concern for their business. We intend to create a thrilling live experience for our fellow entrepreneurs by making them meet successful entrepreneurs in their awesome startup offices. The group size for each session would be limited to 25 entrepreneurs each, to have stronger bonding amongst members.

The inaugural Startup Yatra Delhi will take selected entrepreneurs to offices of IXIGO, Value360 PR, Indiamart, Delhivery, Payu, IHO-Aetna, 5Ideas to meet their respective CEOs and teams, and gain insights on product management, public relations, payment gateways, sales and marketing, team management, logistics, scaling up challenges – a new topic every day! . Each day will be a Different Guru, Different place and Different topic. This edition of Startup Yatra will be organized in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, from 26th- 31st May, 2013. We plan to host the Startup Yatra across India in coming future. Registrations are open now and you can register at www.startupyatra.com.

As therodinhoods has been inspiring me from so many years, i wanted to share the launch of startupyatra with the fellow entrepreneurs on therodinhoods. Please feel free to visit our website for more details.  We will love to hear your feedback about our new initiative.

Let the journey begin!
