Recently my sabziwallah (who provides a home delivery service for nearby residents) whatsapped me with the tomato rates. Excited by the special rate, I whatsapped him back with an order for an extra kg of tomatoes. And Voila! it was delivered to me within an hour, of course with a cash on delivery option.
It was an “What an idea, sirji” moment for me.
Any such uses of Whatsapp you’ve seen/experienced? Would love to know.

It happened earlier this year when I was in the process of shifting my house.Since my new house had new furniture I had to sell my old furniture.
Hence I looked up some nos from Just Dial about scrap dealers and sent them whatsapp images of my old furniture and within minutes 10 dealers were ready with their prices and I was able to get it done with in just 1 day without hassle of actually going around a market..
