What is the impact of Apps on the Economy? A US Congress hearing!

I think the “apponomy’ has changed business, life and opportunities for entrepreneurs like me.

1) It’s allowed anyone from anywhere to become a ‘hit’.

The app store is the new renaissance that is the most democratic thing ever invented.

2) Take my Company for instance. It’s funded by USA venture capital with a base in India, but now increasingly growing in the USA!

This is the perfect example of ‘boomerang economics’ and the app economy fosters just that.

3) Apps are ‘the medium’ of the future. We had a # 1 app in the USA Called ‘Parking Frenzy’.

Now we want to add DO NOT SMS AND DRIVE and SAFE DRIVING tips inside the game as part of game play!

‘Coz 6 MILLION AMERICAN TWEEN girls have the app!!!

We had a similar discussion at the hearing. The distribution mechanism that the app economy has provided is second to no other industry in history. It is the fastest growing technology ever: faster than cars, the microwave, television, radio, internet, etc. The ability to push and distribute content via a device that is on the consumer 24/7 is unprecedented.
