BOOTSTRAPING a business for a clothing brand to be launched on social media

Hi Hooders,

My younger sister and I are wanting to start an office wear brand currently in dress materials, by bootstrapping it with the funds given by me.

Basically the business will be on social media for its early stages and then we will be going online on a web based E-Com biz.

Our product range currently will be dress materials for office wear for ladies in a price range of INR 500/- to INR 2,000/-. Post which we will be looking to add formal wear as shirts and trousers, and may be into male section post the good run of the brand.

The U.S.P. of our business is :

1. Price range

2. Feedback forms, which will be delivered with the product, and the customer has to just drop it at the nearest post office, all cost will be paid by us.

3. courier will be charged at 50% so as not to hamper on our profit margins.

4. Our products will be limited, once sold, it won’t be available again.

My doubts are as follows :

1. Is it worth bootstrapping into such a business ?

2. Is it worth going for social media and then starting out a website ?

3. Is it good to charge for delivery?

I would be glad for all your replies.
