Marketing & Brand User Engaging Game, sounds interesting ?

Hello Everyone,

Its an experiment in which I am trying to engage the users with brands over a game. Whoever is interested, please connect to me, or Please connect me to those you think might be interested.

‘X Engage’ : A sweet game that gives you rewards, & rewards everyone, having piano symphonies playing in the background. Broadly its a game which acts as a rewards collection tool. Objective is to hit only the icons, piano music is what makes it interesting & of course the rewards which keep on multiplying as per the difficulty level.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.Witcraft.Xengage

I posted it on playstore yesterday only so, as of now, it has no users. Gonna work on that when I have some campaigners for the same. Please pardon the playing experience, Its a work in progress

The car icon will be replaced by the Brand’s Logo

I have 3 more games in queue based upon the same model. I believe its a great method for any brand to make an impression on the user’s mind. Although, its still in the experiment stage.

Benefits for Brands of Engaging with users in This Game over ‘ads’:

1. Its better then 2 secs of banner/popup ad in apps, which is usually annoying.
2. ROI on this kind of game is expected to be around 50% because

  • When the user is playing the game, he is only playing the game.
  • & He is playing with the brand.

3. Three Minutes of user engagement is quite enough to make an impression on the user’s sub-concious mind.

4. At particular milestones OR at the end of the game, You can offer the user a better reward knowing that the user acquisition rate is expected to be much higher then ads scenario.

5. Also, the game will have levels based upon the rewards being offered.

6. With some gamification hacks, I believe this user engagement time frame can increase to around 7-10 minutes.

So, any startups / brands who might be interested in this, we would love to describe the details in depth. You can email me at hello @ witcraft.in

I would love any feedback.

I am @harry_inaction on twitter.

  1. Your challenge will be in getting the right brand to associate with the theme.

And then to get the game downloaded by consumers.

And for the brand to agree to keep sponsoring the rewards.

The game mechanic is actually quite nice ; you should change it to a puzzler of sorts ; fill all the cells.  In each row, 1 colour for each cell.  Once the user taps on one colour in row 1, he has to keep tapping on the same colour cell.

Change from colour to icon, to image, to shape, etc etc.

Make a game and publish it !  Brands will come to you.

  2. Yeah the game is built& published.. now I am on lookout of the the ones who might be interested in this experiment. I went one step ahead. I pitched it to @paytm, Just couldn’t convert the deal.

So I am working on the challenge of getting the brands to associate with the theme. From this forum, I am trying to find the initial prospect clients only.

Isn’t it obviously better then ads ? I was feeling like everyone would love it. May be with no users, its being ignored.

  3. hari om – just to let you know mk (mahesh) is alok’s co-founder at games2win. so pls take his advice seriously…!

  4. To be specific:

    1. I could not understand your response at “fill all the cells”.

    2. If you could refer who might be interested in this, would be the best for its Inception.

    For Your Info, currently:

1.The linked game is sort of a game with music, rhythm & probably speed.

    2. I have another game in the making, which is kind of a puzzle revolving around brands.

  5. Build the game for your end consumers to love it . You can then insert one level in between where you can get the brand to promote and reward gamers.Suggest not to make the game around brand.

  6. Hey Hardik,

I am not sure, with how much experience you are saying that, but the thing you are saying can be applied to any other game in the current market. I am trying to do this as an experiment. So probably for now I will continue with this approach.

  7. I would not vote getting into the game of building user base and sticking them with the game. Expensive affair.

Think on what different publishers can do with your game, can they integrate it with their own mobile devices ? or their responsive sites as an ad unit ? Publishers got the numbers, and brands in kitty which are willing to pay. They need to innovate and their machinery just do not allow any innovation to get in.

Find alliances and make whatever money you can as quickly as possible.

    Good luck!

  8. In case you are aware of Ladoo app & aware of this industry, I hope you are a fan of Ladoo, or atleast believe it was a good innovation. Though, there are variants now.

Now, with this X Engage, I Believe, I am going one step ahead. In last few discussions, I am realizing that I may be wrong calling it a game. Since, the objective for the user is to collect the rewards from branded campaigns, the game is the ad on. So may be I should call it a utility game.

If you can, try to look at it from the ladoo point of view & then tell me if you find it nice ?
