Mujhe bura laga

Hi Guys,
Here is one of interesting experience I had during summer of 2014, this came to my mind while reading Vinit’s post “I got better customer service from my client than I gave them”. If one pays close attention to regular people who keep on doing very simple and menial work/job, they have lot to teach us and being humble is surely one of them. Below is one such anecdote of my experience

Mujhe bura laga

It was 2.30 in afternoon and monsoon was yet to arrive, I was on my way for meeting. Heat was unbearable and I tried to hail a taxi for 5 mins (thought in heat it seemed like 15mins) but no luck. I spotted 2 cabbies chit chatting, I walked over and said “churchgate chaloge?”, one didn’t respond and other nodded negative. Heat was getting on me, in frustration & anger I said “Dubai jayega kya?” and walked away.

Tried another 5 mins in sweltering heat with no luck.

Suddenly taxi appeared before me, driver was same guy who refused me before. While getting inside I spoke my mind, “kya huwa bhaiya, man badal gaya?” and he said “aapko naa bolene ke baad aapko dekh raha thaa, socha koi taxi mil jayege, jab 5 minute tak koi nai aaye, to muze bura laga”…….. Didn’t know how to react, just managed to say Thank you bhaiya while getting down.

  1. wow darshan. this blog link was fwded to me by a friend who reads my temple tales. i shared it on fb – mohul picked it up and tweeted it and shekhar kapur RT it 🙂

it’s a lovely lovely story. i’m a huge shekhar kapur fan – he is a great director with the ability to capture little little nuances that help narrate the story better. i think masoom is a great example even though it was a hindi re-make of a known novel & movie!
