It’s been wayyyy too long since we’ve rocked your amazing city!! To refresh your memory or to get a brief idea what we do – pls go through Priyadeep’s live reporting of our last Banglore Open House!!

BUT WE ARE BACK!! Yeah, that’s right…

The next Bangalore Open House is on July 30, 2016 Bangalore Open House is on Sept 24, 2016 (Saturday) and our OH is being kindly hosted by Yahoo! Thank you Yahoo for your continuous support – it’s a great privilege indeed to have you as our Venue Partner!

Over the past 4 years, our Open Houses have evolved. Each Open House brings in new learnings and inspires us to keep tweaking the format! Our themes revolve around pillars such as,

Sameer A M (Co-founder Bonito Designs & Squadro)

Come listen to Rodinhooder Sameer’s intriguing journey of how he’s survived in the startup world for the last 4 years. He’ll be sharing his entrepreneurial learnings, mistakes and scars! 

2:50 – 3:40pm: 

Keychat: Parag Gupta (Experienced Product Leader) and Anju Gupta (Co-founder and President, IvyCamp) in conversation with Alok (followed by Q&A with the audience) 

Parag has nearly 20 years experience as an engineer, product manager and leader in the high-tech industry across India and US.  He has delivered successful products in telecommunication, wireless networking, web commerce, e-Commerce, and consumer electronics. He has a deep admiration for entrepreneurs, but am not one in traditional sense – though he has started several initiatives, is a part of many inventions, and has built teams from grounds-up.

Anju has 15 years’ experience in Product Management and Marketing in the software industry working with financial and risk assessment models. Since returning to India, she has been working with young Entrepreneurs across our educational institutions and in her role as President of IvyCamp, is strongly committed to supporting and building out the next generation of entrepreneurs

Vimlesh Gautam and his team have built a product which gives you a real-time video of how your customers are using your app and this information is gathered without any privacy intrusion to your customer.

Prashanth Prakash
Partner, Accel Partners

Prashanth Prakash joined Accel in 2008 and focuses on consumer internet, SaaS and marketplace investments. He led Accel’s investments in BookMyShow, HolidayIQ, PropTiger, BlueStone, QwikCilver/GiftBig and WizRocket.

Prior to Accel, Prashanth co-founded Erasmic (one of India’s first early stage funds) and founded two companies. Prashanth grew up in Bangalore and graduated from Bangalore Institute of Technology and has a Masters from the University of Delaware.

5 Life Lessons… Special presentation by Ujwal Tickoo 

Ex-entrepreneur, Product & Strategy guy who loves beautifully crafted products, reading books & yoga.  

Ujwal has built and lead products & teams for various leading companies in India and abroad, to mention a few: Souq.com, CarDekho, Practo, Travelocity, etc. 

He has co-founded Taggle.com in group buying that raised funding from Greylock & Battery Ventures in 2008. 

Currently working on an entrepreneurial idea in stealth mode and doing paid consulting with multiple early & seed funding startups.  

Ujwal has done his PGSEM from IIM Bangalore and BSc (Physics Hons) from Rajasthan University.

 

5:00 – 5:30pm: Let’s solve a problem! 

Let’s all think as entrepreneurs and solve a REAL problem together!

The idea is to make all of us THINK as entrepreneurs and also unleash the power of collaborative thinking!

We welcome IDEAS that we can throw open to the floor to build on!

Please send us a Problem that you want solved!

Keep in mind:

The larger the problem (affects lots of folks) the better

Something that we CAN do vs. CAN’T do (Make better roads vs. reduce corrupt politicians) 

Something that’s a FRESH problem (no yaawn stuff like ‘reduce corruption’) 

A problem that TECH + great execution can solve vs. manual intervention (unlike this one below!)

Digital Accessibility is the least spoken subject in the Indian tech eco system, we are a tech capital who doesn’t code/create products that are a built with a certain tech standards/rules…How do we bridge this gap? I have few ideas that I am working on but I would like to hear from all of you…we talk digital inclusion but what is the least thing we have done about it?
