We made a tonic your website needs – ConversionTonic!

Hello everybody,

Have been reading popular discussions in this forum and have to say that is the liveliest of ones around. This is my first post here and hope that I get along with all well.

Who am I?
I run a design and development agency out of Mumbai since two years. We are now 8 members strong. Have serviced around 30 clients with portals and applications of all sizes. We used to earn our living by servicing, yet! By saving time from servicing and after about 5 months of brainstorming and development we are ready with a beta product. We named it ConversionTonic!

What is this ConversionTonic?
ConversionTonic is basically a suite of applications that help your website achieve its goals . They install on your existing website in no time. Every website has its goal. We understood that in majority of websites the goal is turning strangers into customers. There are numerous methods which website owners employ to get the visitors on the site and try to engage them. The motto is to win attention, understand him and make him contact you for business. ConversionTonic helps you do just that. And its like a boon for people who spend money in advertising on the web and get people on the site. We help you engage them and retain them.

How the hell it works?
We are starting with intelligent use of modal boxes (aka popups) which are backed by three things :
1. Mouse movement analysis
2. A very easy popup customizer
3. Sweet dashboard to show you whats happening with your popups in real time

We have just started our application with popups, our list has A/B testing, heatmaps, cart optimization, feedback collection and mail collection in coming months.

What powers will this tonic add to your website?
1. Power to identify and connect to visitors who are browsing for x amount of time
2. Power to identify and stop visitors who are leaving your site!
3. Power to configure and change popups (more coming soon) without the help of developers.
4. Power to see the results of your popups shown systematically on a sweet dashboard

Free prize for everybody reading till this far!
Thanks for your time reading this. If you have a website we will offer you a complimentary subscription for ConversionTonic right away. We have decided a price plan of 20$ a month starting from March 2014, you will be using all features for 6six months without paying a paisa. Bonus: Someone from our team will personally get in touch with you via email. We will take a look at your site and suggest you with best popups that can increase the conversion even more. Just shoot a mail at hello@conversiontonic.com

Want to ask quick questions, me and my team would be glad to hear those in comments. Check out the page we have put here. Do suggest the changes/enhancements before we go for marketing it globally next week. Here is the format of facebook post we would be boosting in specific circles.

Hope to have Rodinhood style support, constructive criticism and good vibes with us during our journey. See you all around.

    1. What technology do you use for front end, and what is backend strategy?
    2. is it on clients server (the backend where you capture lead) or its on your side,
    3. Also I dont see any direct privacy policy on your site, how do you use the captured data?
    4. what are the chances that your app- plugin is vulnerable to any kind of attacks?
    5. How do you counter the possible script conflict like jquery or mootools or multiple jqueries running on page (many of my site has multiple jquery running along with mootools.
    6. How do you handle them automatically?
    7. Is there chance you can also track additional details like facebook, linkedin profile of user automatically? like some analytics company do provide this
  1. Hi Gowind, wow thats a lot of questions, thanks for your interest taking time to ask.

    1. We are using HTML Boilerplate with Twitter bootstrap for front end, on the Backend we are using

    PHP with Mysql database.

    2. We capture leads on front end (on the client website) client can download these leads in

excel file from his control panel. Client’s server is not affected at all.

    3. God! We do not use clients data! All leads/feedback/insights captured from clients site are stored in

encrypted format and we do not access this data from our end. Client can access and export these leads into

    excel format.

    4. Every communication happens over ssl and each api call is authenticated before processing. An ethical hacker is helping us identify and solve the loopholes. We looking to make the security better, if you have any idea..please share.

    5. We understand the importance of this and have spend considerable amount of time to make sure it doesn’t interfere with websites jquery. Try it out! We use our jquery in a way it doesnt interfere with your websites jquery or any other plugins.

    6. Sorry I did not get this question.

    7. We have seen some companies doing it, this is on our list. To extract data is simple, what is important is how do we show that data so that it makes meaning to our clients they get right insights.

We have made some changes in our marketing website. http://www.conversiontonic.com

Also, we have made a video to explain the concept in 90 seconds, check it out – https://vimeo.com/90562449
  2. Nice.  Looks clean.

Are you date/time stamping the optins with ip address?  Can’t import it into a email service provider without confirmed optin.

    WordPress support?

ESP support – mailchimp, benchmarkemail etc?

Google analytics integration – assuming that you aren’t redirecting the ty confirmation to a new url, will need to pass the optin as an event.

All sorts of other junk, er features… 🙂 possible…

How does it stack up against Hello bar: https://www.hellobar.com/

  3. 3. I am not accusing you, but people (mostly from Overseas) are more concerned about data, and you dont have any privacy policy listed on site (when I asked those questions) so I asked it.

    6. is related with 5th one how do you manage conflict resoultion automatically.

After all I am convinced on my doubts

you’re product is most desirable product who want to convert leads from their visitors

I will give it a try for our website.

    and will let you know.

    Thanks

  4. Thanks Abey.
Currently, we are capturing the data and providing it to customer with basic export options.

Seamless integration with mailchimp, aweber, getresponse, campaignmonitor is on the cards and will keep adding to the list. Same with wordpress plugins.

We are currently focusing on enabling better targeting. Pages, time, scroll length, cursor behavior, traffic sources and some other interesting scenarios. Basic A/B testing to understand what worked and what did not. And in the same time the backend tobe easy enough for a non techie to understand and make use of it daily.

Out of the list you posted we like optinmoster the most. We would differentiate from others in guiding our customers to make popups or conversion enhancers which are NOT annoying.

HelloBar is a great product, in coming days we will he having it as one of the many conversion enhancers. The key will be controlling everything from one place.

Your knowledge in this conversion field seems to be substantial, what do you do?

  5. Great.  This is a crowded space but there is still room for a solid player.

    I freelance at odesk.  https://bit.ly/odesk-abey

  6. There is Google Analytics does all this even more. Where your website stands then?

  7. No Mansoor, you haven’t understood the product.  GA is a analytics tool.  What Navin has is a conversion widget that you can insert into your site without the tech overhead.

  8. Yes, its crowded space and I must admit we failed in doing the research before starting to build the product. We were excited and could not resit the temptation of coding it to life.

The good thing is the excitement has lasted and as we are getting reviews from people, the need is being validated. Am sure we will have that one super feature which will differentiate us from others and will hold a interesting pack of clients.

Will bookmark your profile should I need some assistance in future.

  9. Hello Mansoor, Google analytics will help you understand what is going on. ConversionTonic is a business solution that helps you improve customer experience on your site and get leads.

    Example? Lets take Magevenues.com

    – Using ConversionTonic can get you email address and contact numbers of people looking for celebration venues (similar to ‘can we help’ tab you have placed on the site, but done in a more intelligent way)

-You can ask them their mobile number and consult them in a better way over phone.

-You can show a Mumbai visitor an irresistible venue that will interest him in your site. Also bring him to notice that you have 17 other venues to choose from.

All this and many more possibilities that too without having to change the code.

  10. Thanks Abey for clarifying. I will anyway look into the copy of the site to ensure it is communicating properly and not misleading people.

  11. hey navin,

how’s the response to conversion tonic?!

  12. Hello Asha,

We have got people to try it on. Learning from the feedback and making some necessary improvements to the applications. Product toh theek hai ab sales ko line pe lagana hai 🙂
